Let yourself decent into the spirit of Berlin in the year 1900! In Paul Linckes operetta Frau Luna you will enter a world of the sparkling- entertaining genre of the Berliner „Gassenhauer“. The milieu of the setting has been placed in the - by then - still fantastic world of aeronautics. Steppke, a mechanic, being fascinated by the outer- space is constructing a balloon together with his friends, which finally arises with them into the air and towards the moon. After their landing they are not welcomed by the „man in the moon” but by Frau Luna, the empress over the stars and by her entourage. And a heavenly confusion is getting under way: Frau Luna is falling in love with Steppke, and her custodian Theophil recognizes in Frau Pusebach the flirt of his latest visit on earth, which entangles him in foreseeable conflicts with his bride-to-be Stella. And out of the blue there appears Marie, who reminds Steppke to his promises.... Evergreens like „ Berliner Luft“ and „ Schlösser, die im Monde liegen“ will guarantee a joyful evening observed by the moon.

A special festival evening for the bon Vivant
At 5 pm you will be invited to a glass of Prosecco at the Schloss Hotel Rheinsberg, Seestrasse 13. You will receive an introduction lecture on the upcoming performance. The culinary highlight will be followed with the festival dinner, a 3 course menu.
Prior to this performance you can pick up a picnic basket at the “Schlosstheater”. There is a reserved meadow for the picnic nearby the lake.
Price: 14,50 each person (children up to 14 years 7,- €)
(In the case of uncertain weather, the open-air-performances will be transferred into the Siegfried-Matthus-Arena in the Hafendorf Rheinsberg)
